What are the Financial Benefits of the Germany HZB Summer School Program in Germany 2025?

For external participants, the gross subsistence allowance amounts to €1,900 for the whole period of the contract.
For students enrolled at universities in Berlin or Potsdam, the subsistence allowance is €1,000 gross.
Applicants will receive a subsidy of up to 75% of their travel costs; participants within the EU will not receive a subsidy exceeding €200.
Applicants from a non-EU country will receive €800, which should help recover travel costs between your home and Berlin.
This internship will be a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week for the entire eight-week period.
A dedicated eight-week contract dedicated fully to your assigned project and hands-on experience.
